Episode 23 Queen tried to get in touch with Kelvin all to no avail. His numbers were switched off and he would not reply his messages on all his social media accounts. Two months had already passed since she met him and since then she had missed her monthly period. She was still engrossed in deep thoughts when Asha who had been in the bathroom came out and began to get dressed. Asha: “what happened? Why are you looking this dull? Anyway, I ran into an old university friend of ours yesterday and we got talking. She told me that she attended Mercy’s wedding and that it was glamorous. I even heard that Mercy and her husband travelled abroad last month courtesy of their state governor who rewarded her for returning 10 million naira that was mistakenly paid into her account” she said cleaning her face with cotton bud and facial cleanser. Hateful and snobbish This is bad food for our mind and soul That is why we always have to be careful Careful if we choose to eat mushrooms Careful before we internalize any message be it from other persons, teachers, the news or the internet. Messages that give our ego a boost of superiority are most likely a bit toxic for our soul If we eat a wrong mush

Good Morning I was walking with my head facing a bit down, quite absorbed in my own thoughts, when I suddenly heard the joyous voice of one of the hospital cleaners: 'good morning, prof'. I was jolted out of my closed inner world and the joy in her voice was warming my heart only in a way the human voice can. I responded with a 'good morning' too. That cleaner somehow had coloured my self-centered lone morning with the beautiful colours of human communication. Small things like this can really make a difference to our day. My state of mind had changed from silent introversion to a certain joyful alertness, ready to continue the chain of kindness initiated by the cleaner. Let us start a few of such chains of kindness ourselves today. Who knows one of such small chains of kindness may snowball into an avalanche of kindness enveloping the world😊

Episode 21 Queen did just like her friend suggested.  The two girls went to Kelvin’s house prior to his arrival and prepared his favorite meal.  As soon as Kelvin entered his sitting room, he was surprised to perceive the aroma of food coming in from the kitchen. Kelvin: “what is the Cook cooking? I cannot remember telling her to cook anything for me. In fact, she doesn’t even know that I would arrive today. Episode 19 Few months later, Batch A which was the batch that Queen, Mercy and Asha belonged to did their passing out parade and for her active participation during her service year and her community development services and personal projects, Mercy was employed by River’s state government to work in the ministry of Internal Revenue. I am sure that Peter would never advise me to do such a thing” she said and picked her phone from where she plugged it to charge before she fell asleep. Being in school is torture enough, but to know that no one likes you is even more upsetting. When you know that someone actually likes you it is the most amazing feeling in the world. Well one day in school a boy came up to me and told me he liked me,and at that moment I felt unbearably happy. We started talking as we talked we got to know eachother,but to find out later that everything that he told me was all a lie was also unbearable. I learned he was struggling with depression, and other health problems. Something that I learned later was that he was dared to ask me out. Moving on with this experience I learned to be strong and learned many lessons that affected me today. I learned that you need to have strength in those people who love you, and not the person you just someone you met.
